This Privacy Policy explains how Fajela ("we", "us", or "our"), incorporated in England and Wales, collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the Fajela KG Tracker at app.fajela.com (the "Service").

We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who we are

Fajela is the data controller for personal data collected through the Service. You can contact us at seo@fajela.com with any data protection queries.

2. What data we collect

Account data: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password, or your Google account details if you use Google Sign-In.

Tracking data: The entities you choose to track, including Knowledge Graph IDs, names, descriptions, types, scores, and change history. This is data you provide to us by using the Service.

Usage data: We may collect basic usage information such as when you log in or run checks, to maintain and improve the Service. We do not use third-party analytics trackers.

Payment data: If you subscribe to Pro, your payment is processed by Paddle. We do not receive or store your card details. We receive confirmation of your subscription status from Paddle.

3. How we use your data

Our legal basis for processing is contract performance (to provide the Service you signed up for) and legitimate interests (to maintain and improve the Service).

4. Third-party services

Google Firebase (Google LLC): We use Firebase Authentication and Firestore to store account credentials and tracking data. Data is stored in Google Cloud infrastructure. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.

Google Knowledge Graph API: When you search or check entities, queries are sent to the Google Knowledge Graph API. No personal data is sent as part of these requests.

Paddle: Payment processing and subscription management is handled by Paddle.com Market Limited, who act as merchant of record. Paddle's privacy policy applies to payment data: paddle.com/legal/privacy.

5. Data retention

We retain your account and tracking data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is removed from our systems within 30 days. Paddle retains payment records as required by applicable law.

7. Cookies

The Service uses localStorage in your browser to store your theme preference (light/dark mode). No tracking cookies or advertising cookies are used.

Access to the Service requires authentication. Data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS. Data at rest is stored in Google Firestore, which encrypts data by default. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, though no system is completely secure.

9. International transfers

Your data is stored in Google Cloud infrastructure, which may involve transfer of data outside the UK. Google maintains appropriate safeguards for such transfers under the UK GDPR.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or by a notice within the Service. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
